Stepping out on the red carpet for one of her many new projects, Michelle WIlliams attended the “Meek’s Cutoff” premiere during the 67th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Sunday (September 5).
Held at the Sala Grande Palazzo Del Cinema, the soon-to-be 30-year-old actress looked stunning as she joined castmates Neal Huff, Bruce Greenwood, Tommy Nelson and director Kelly Reichardt for the weekend screening.
With the film being drawn from diaries kept by Western-bound pioneers, “Meek’s Cutoff” is the second time in which Miss Williams has worked with director Reichardt.
Of her hankering to choose Michelle, Kelly told the AP earlier today, “I love working with Michelle. She is very game for the kind of films we are making. They are really hard and there are no comforts at all.”
Meanwhile, “Meek’s Cutoff” is among 23 films in the running to win the prestigious Golden Lion award, which will be handed out on September 11.

Continuing to make the most of her time overseas, Natalie Portman was on hand for the Hollywood Foreign Press Asscociation Cocktail Party in Venice, Italy on Thursday night (September 2).
Held at Style Lounge, the 29-year-old actress was decked out in a purple Jason Wu frock as she joined her “Black Swan” director Darren Aronofsky while promoting their movie during the 67th Venice Film Festival.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Portman helped to premiere “Black Swan” the previous day - with Natalie and the movie getting quite the warm reception.
Screen International’s Mike Goodridge said, “If the film is ultimately too unsettling to snag main prizes, it has at least one nomination in the bag for lead actress Natalie Portman who gives one of ‘those’ performances, transforming herself after 10 months of training into an accomplished ballerina, almost uncomfortable to watch as she consumes her difficult role.”

Promoting her upcoming movie overseas, Jessica Alba attended the “Machete” premiere during the 67th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Wednesday night (September 1).
Held at the Sala Grande Palazzo Del Cinema, the “Sin City” star dazzled as she joined director Robert Rodriguez and co-star Danny Trejo on the red carpet.
Due out in theaters on September 3, Jess recently told of the film, “It’s exciting, for us as artists. Usually, we’re just entertaining and, most of the time, everything is just pure, commercial entertainment.”
She adds, “Especially in Hollywood, there isn’t a whole lot of emphasis on much else. Film is used, in other places in the world, for political messages, and it’s an art, in all different forms. Some people don’t have a voice, and their government keeps them from having a voice. Knowing that we can participate in something that is socially and politically relevant, even in one of the biggest pop culture makers of the world, Hollywood, that’s awesome.”

Jessica Alba Premieres "Machete" in Venice

Fresh off of overnight flights from JFK in NYC, Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman were spotted arriving to Venice, Italy on Tuesday (August 31) ahead of the annual Venice Film Festival.
The paparazzi caught up with Miss Alba, who was all smiles as she boarded a water taxi while checking out a map of the gorgeous locale.
Meanwhile, Ms Portman hopped aboard a water taxi, as well, ready to get some rest before enjoying the beautiful day and interesting city.
The lovely ladies are both in town ahead of the 67th Venice Film Festival, which begins Wednesday, September 1 and continues through Saturday, September 11.
Natalie will be opening things up with her new film “Black Swan” while Jess is promoting her upcoming movie “Machete”.

Having spent the day in court for a deposition, Lindsay Lohan continues to try and wade her way through her numerous legal woes.
Joined by her mother, Dina, the “Georgia Rule” actress arrived at the interview about 20 minutes late on Tuesday (May 4) after skipping out on the two previously scheduled sessions.
Stemming from a drunken Los Angeles joyride back in 2007, Lindsay is currently being sued by her three male passengers - who claim to have been held hostage while LiLo cruised around the streets before being arrested.
Meanwhile, it’s being reported by Radar Online that Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, met with Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers and Judge Revel for about 45 minutes to talk about a possible probation violation.
With claims that Lindsay hasn’t met her alcohol course requirements, Miss Meyers said, “I don’t know yet if Lindsay has indeed violated probation. If she hasn’t violated probation, I will be very happy for her and send her on her way.”
Meyers added, “However, if she has in fact violated the terms of her probation, I will be asking the judge for a significant jail time.”

Enjoying a fun-filled day with his kids, Brad Pitt was spotted in Venice, Italy on Saturday (April 24).
After treating Pax, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh to a visit to the park, the “Fight Club” actor and his gang then hopped on a boat to head back to their current digs.
Meanwhile, Pitt’s partner Angelina Jolie recently told press how she bounced back into shape after giving birth to twins, Vivienne and Knox, for her role in the upcoming film “Salt.”
She told press, “I had just had two babies, and the push to be physically strong was very welcomed at the time.”
Ang continued, “The funny thing about having children is that now I am twice as motivated to do a cool stunt because my kids will like it.”

Bringing an end to the rumors of bad blood between them, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s mother Jane were spotted out on Jolie’s balcony in Venice, Italy today (April 14).
The “Changeling” chick and the “Fight Club” mom held Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt as nearby shutterbugs snapped up pics.
The show of solidarity comes after reports claimed Ang snubbed the Pitts’ invitation to come to Missouri and celebrate Easter with the family.
A source erroneously claimed, “Brad was angry, but it was his parents who were really mad. They’d been looking forward to this visit for a long time. It seems like for ever since Brad, Ang and the kids spent time with them.”
“I know Missouri is a long way from Italy, but Brad’s parents would’ve appreciated it if she’d made the effort. It felt like a slap in the face. Brad told Angie it was unacceptable and she should have more respect for his family. Ang feels Brad’s mom is out to get her and she probably doesn’t see why she should fly halfway across the world to spend Easter with her.”

Taking advantage of a little break from her work duties, Angelina Jolie was spotted with her son, Knox, on the balcony of their temporary abode in Venice, Italy on Friday (April 9).
Looking to be in quite the cheerful mood, the “Wanted” actress waved to fans below while getting a bit of a surprise as Knox tossed his stuffed bunny off the balcony and into the water.
The sighting comes as Miss Jolie spent much of the day back on the set of “The Tourist,” which co-stars “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Johnny Depp.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt just returned to Italy, as they were busy with philanthropic efforts in Bosnia and Montenegro.
As the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie sought to bring awareness to the plight of the people in those troubled lands.

Sharing a wonderful mother/son moment, Angelina Jolie and Knox were spotted hanging out on the balcony of their Venice, Italy hotel on Thursday (March 25).
The “Changeling” actress and her baby boy (who’s a twin with Vivienne Jolie-Pitt) stepped out into the fresh air for the second day in a row, sending the on-hand photogs into a frenzy.
A rather thin Jolie is currently filming “The Tourist” alongside Johnny Depp, but is sure to get enough time with her little ones in between filming.
While “The Tourist” will be out sometime next year, Angelina’s film “Salt” will hit theaters this summer on July 23.
