Continuing to live it up during a family getaway, Kate Gosselin and her kids were spotted in Bald Head Island, North Carolina on Friday afternoon (August 13).
The TLC reality mom and her adorable brood hit the local pool for a swim, then heading to the local food market - during which time Kate was unusually camera shy as she held a bag up to cover her face from following photogs.
Definitely not lacking when it comes to vacation splurging, a new report from TV Guide tells that Miss Gosselin makes $250,000 per episode of TLC’s “Kate Plus 8″.
The surprisingly high pay tops proven successful actresses such as Anna Paquin, Julianna Margulies and Selena Gomez, while being on par with “Grey’s Anatomy” stud Patrick Dempsey.

It’s no secret that he’s a worldwide sensation, but Justin Bieber’s latest website contest seems to have yielded some strange results from North Korea.
The “One Less Lonely Girl” singer has launched a worldwide competition called The Justin Bieber My World Tour Contest in which fans can vote for Justin to come to their country and do a tour.
The problem is, North Korea is one of the top vote getters, and since the North Korean government has put the kibosh on internet use, there’s no explaining it.
Additionally, since no one in North Korea could be voting for Bieber to tour their country, it’s unlikely that he’ll want to go there.
A press source explained, “It has now been thoroughly highjacked by Anonymous – at the time of writing, North Korea is in second place by only a few thousand votes. Unless the current leader Israel can get its act together, it should be overtaken by lunchtime.”

Spending the day loading up on a few new purchases, Jessica Alba was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills on Thursday (March 4).

Wearing a black top with grey tights and a teal scarf, the “Into the Blue” beauty popped into the local North Face store to peruse the shop’s selections.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Jess spent the prior night at the Global Green pre-Oscar party.

While, there, Miss Alba voiced her liking for “Avatar” and its director James Cameron, telling, “‘Avatar’ is incredible, just incredible. I love what Jim [James Cameron] is doing for the environment, just in what his movie says about taking care of and trying to save our planet. It’s such a beautiful message.”

Continuing to gush about Cameron, Jess adds, “There’s nobody like him, and we’re all blessed to have him be one of the best directors in our lifetime. He’s creating a platform for others to tie social messages into entertainment.”

As she continues to recover from an infection related to her oral surgery, Brooke Mueller may have been checked into drug and alcohol rehab.

According to a report, Ms. Mueller has been staying at Two Dreams Outer Banks clinic in North Carolina in an attempt to detox from some recent partying.

However, her lawyer Yale Galanter says that she’s recovering from her illness at a “place that takes care of patients recovering from serious illnesses.”

Brooke has been through rehab programs in the past for alcohol as well as cocaine, so it’s not out of the question that she’s back at it again.

Additionally, it seems peculiar that she’d travel all the way to North Carolina if it was just a medical issue, given that she lives near many top hospitals in Los Angeles.

Making for quite the pleasant surprise, Nick Jonas made a pledge of $25,000 to the North Texas Food Bank during an impromptu tour of the Dallas facility on Saturday (January 2).

Greeting a gathering of 140 thrilled volunteers, the Jonas Brothers hunk made the food bank stop just ahead of kicking off his tour with Nick Jonas and The Administration later in the evening.

Talking about offering up the monetary support, Nick told press on-hand, “If there’s something I can do to help – volunteer here today or giving a financial gift – that’s something I can do.”

Meanwhile, Food bank president Jan Pruitt voiced her appreciation for the unexpected donation and visit, saying, “This is our next generation of philanthropists. His time here with these couple of hundred kids that are out here volunteering today – they’re going to find out, ‘Well, [if] it’s important to him, it should be important to me.’”

As for choosing Dallas to kick off the tour with his new band, the youngest JoBro told, “Starting the tour here … felt like the right move. A Dallas crowd is a good crowd. … It’s always been a good place for us.”
