It’s been one of the most anticipated films this month, and it sounds like “ Going the Distance ” is going straight to the top of the box office.
The film involves Erin ( Drew Barrymore ) and Garrett ( Justin Long ) who meet during Erin’s internship in New York City, but once the internship ends and Erin heads back to California the couple is forced to deal with the struggles of a long-distance relationship.
The reviews have been on the positive side for the most part, as Michael O’Sullivan from The Washington Post wrote, “Drew Barrymore and Justin Long make one cute couple. Whether or not the actors’ on-again-off-again real-life romance helped their performances as lovers frustrated by geography — he’s in Manhattan, she’s in San Francisco — it’s clear they have chemistry. E.T.’s girlfriend and the Mac Guy ooze a laid-back, goofy charm through their pore-less skin. They’re a modern-day Hepburn and Grant.”
Another critic told, “’Going the Distance’ is by no means perfect, but it’s light years beyond the average rom-com, bracingly honest and genuinely funny about the ups and downs of relationships. Barrymore and Long, once a real-life couple and now who-knows-what, have a real chemistry that complements their well-written, realistic characters, and even when the movie falls apart around them in the third act, we root for these two crazy kids and their shot at romance. They elevate the story beyond its more flawed moments, but really, ‘Going the Distance’ is pretty special all on its own.”

In other news, rumor has it that the Duffster is ready to start a family, as a friend told In Touch, “Hilary married the man of her dreams, and now she wants to seal the deal by having his baby.”
“She is only 22, but Hilary is very mature for her age and she wants to be a young mom,” the pal added.

She’s always sporting the latest trends, and it’s no wonder since Audrina Patridge recently revealed that she was never allowed to wear anything twice on “The Hills.”
The reality TV starlet opened up about her wardrobe to the Daily Mirror, telling, “We were only allowed to wear things once for continuity. They’d take a picture and then I’d never be able to wear that outfit again.”
Thinking back to her favorite one-time wear item, Audrina said, “The best things I wore on the series were a pair of thigh high Lanvin boots.”
Finally, Ms Patridge revealed, “I wasn’t trying to be a style icon,” she said. “I’d usually just throw on a T-shirt and jeans.”

Her father Mitch Winehouse has been hospitalized since falling ill in Spain earlier this week, and last night (August 12) Amy Winehouse was spotted paying him a visit.
The “You Know I’m No Good” songstress made her exit from the London medical center carrying a brown paper bag and looking a bit top-heavy in a cleavage-baring dress.
An insider told press, “Mitch constantly feels stressed out worrying about Amy when she’s partying late at night and misbehaving. He lies awake at night hoping she’s safe.”
“Mitch visited a Spanish doctor and after flying into London he went straight from the airport to the hospital. The whole family has been to visit him and are trying to calm him down as his stress levels are extremely high.”

She’s pretty good at keeping herself out of trouble, so it comes as no surprise that Jennifer Aniston doesn’t envy Lindsay Lohan’s current situation.
Of the “Mean Girls” star, who recently went directly from prison to a rehab center, the “Bounty Hunter” actress told Extra, “I don’t envy Lindsay Lohan. Poor thing.”
The 41-year-old actress also revealed that she’s been tossing around the idea of signing up for a Twitter account in order to keep the rumors under control.
She told, “I should just get a Twitter account just for rumor control because if I get one more phone call from my Mom going, ‘Jenny, I know you said you’d tell me if you’re pregnant or getting married, but Aunt Jean just called me.’”

She may be in the middle of a jail/rehab stint, but Lindsay Lohan isn’t letting that keep her from gearing up for the launch of her new fall collection.
The “Mean Girls” actress appears in a series of promo shots for her 6126 Lookbook Fall 2010 Campaign and it looks like she has some pretty hot duds to peddle when she’s set free.
And though there is speculation that LiLo’s role in “Inferno” is up for grabs, director Matthew Wilder says he’s locked in with Lohan.
He told Radar, “There is no truth to these rumors whatsoever - Lindsay Lohan is still our number one choice. I don’t know how this story started but I even took a call from a very upset Dina Lohan and I had to tell her that there was no need to panic.”
“Look, even if Angelina Jolie wanted the role we would still be sticking with Lindsay Lohan, I can’t make myself any clearer than that. I don’t know how this story got off the ground but I am not happy about it.”

Spiraling into quite the nasty feud, Oksana Grigorieva has filed a domestic violence restraining order against Mel Gibson.
According to TMZ, Oksana, who is claiming Mel “beat her up badly” in January, went to court earlier in the week to assure Gibson stays clear of her.
A source told TMZ that Oksana fears for the safety of her daughter, and that is why she would not let Mel spend time with the baby on Father’s Day.
Insiders add that she thinks her baby is at risk if she spends time alone with the actor, although no specifics were given.
Sources connected with Gibson also told press that Oksana’s claim is bogus, and are pointing to the fact that Oksana stayed with Mel after the alleged incident.
